A crisis rarely announces itself
An employee makes a mistake and customer data ends up in the wrong hands. A board member argues in public, or suddenly drops out. A fire in the building, a serious accident on the work floor, a supplier going bankrupt. Fraud, a product recall, a critical article going viral on social media. Or, as is increasingly common: hacked systems. The examples are endless, and they have one thing in common: they come unexpectedly and demand the right decisions immediately. It happens more often than you think. One in five entrepreneurs deals with cybercrime, and thatโs just one kind of crisis. The question isnโt if something will happen. Itโs whether youโll be ready.
Being prepared is half the battle
Reputation ultimately isnโt about what you say, but what you do. Thatโs why we prepare your organisation for the scenarios you hope never to face. The result is a concrete crisis plan, with clear responsibilities and communication lines prepared in advance. Everyone knows what has to and can happen.
What we do for you
Risk assessment
We map out which scenarios are most likely and how much reputational damage they could cause. That tells you where youโre vulnerable and what to prepare for.
Crisis communications plan
We put everything on paper so you can act fast in a crisis: roles, decision-making, key messages and channels. For each scenario we draft statements and Q&As, so you never start from a blank page. The plan isnโt a document for the drawer: we test it with your team and check regularly that everything is still up to date.
Training and exercises
We run a true-to-life crisis simulation, complete with time pressure, incoming questions and critical press. Our trainers ask the questions youโd rather not answer and help you respond with sharpness and credibility.
Immediate support
If a crisis breaks out anyway, weโre ready for you: in the first 60 minutes, the first 24 hours, and everything after. In a crisis, what you communicate matters, but how you act matters even more. What steps do you take? What can you offer your employees, customers and other stakeholders? We provide overview, statements, timing and tone, and prepare spokespeople for journalists. Careful documentation of decisions and communication means you can account for what you did afterwards, and learn from it.
The Boiler Room
Want your team to be in sync when things go wrong? Together, we develop a true-to-life Boiler Room experience. Itโs solid crisis media training and a playful team activity in one, with your team working through a realistic crisis situation. By the end of the day, youโll know exactly what to do when everything goes wrong.
Rather be prepared than surprised?
